Mentoring Programs need a safe way to allow Mentors & Students to send text messages. In a recent survey, 75% of High School preferred texting with their mentor over phone calls, emails, or video-chats.
How Does it Work?
Mentors & Students both send text-messages to the TextBridge #777.202.0107.
Each text-message is auto-forwarded to their registered cell numbers.
- Mentors & Students are registered in the database as a “pair” and text-messages are only exchanged between preset pairs.
- Mentor and Student setup is simple. We just need First Name, CellPhone #, School Location, and Text Delivery Limitations (Time of Day & Days of Week).
- Mentor & Students do not see each other’s contact details.
- Text-Messages sent to 777.202.0107 are forwarded to the appropriate Mentor or Student with your organization or school’s branding on each text-message.
- If a mentor-student pair does not exist, the sender will receive a notification and the text-message will not be forwarded.
- If the text-message is outside Time & Day restrictions, the sender will receive a reply indicating their “Your message cannot be sent at this time.” and the text-message will not be forwarded.
- For accountability and tracking each text-message is stored in a database & sent via email to the mentor program administrator. The activity log includes First Name, Cell Phone Number, Message Content, and Date & Time details. Administrators can always review Text-Message Logs via the Admin Dashboard.
